With a few hours to kill and the weather forecast set for a nice dry day it seemed the perfect opportunity to test out the new SBS range of baiting needles to see how they performed. Heading to a local commercial fishery, the rods were baited for the first time using the new tackle additions from SBS. First impressions were very good. The needles were very ergonomic and also felt sturdy enough to tackle even the toughest boilies or pellet with ease.

Trying out every needle was essential to assess their capabilities and longevity in my tackle box.

Every situation was covered, from hard single baits to a pva bag threaded onto the hook length and these needles, with their SBS embossed logo, were both strong enough and well thought out to handle it all. It's sometimes difficult to move away from trusted brands with their own reputation for tackle but, without question, these needles rival anything out on the market today and the price makes these a force to be reckoned with.

The fishing was, as usual, good at this venue. With lots and lots of small carp less than 10lb banked. Including a lovely brown ghost koi with bright yellow tail section weighing 7lb 14 oz. Caught on M1 boilies. Topped with M1 10mm pop up.
