You may slowly get used to the fact that SBS Tactical Baits does not go for long periods without major success. The World Carp Classic 2012 came to end on 8 September, where all of the SBS Teams who stayed clear of the only Section without a catch, ended the tournament with an outsanding success.
At the moment of the peg draw we did not think that our competitors were going to have a great outcome, because three SBS teams (Capt. Zoltán Kovács, Vice Capt. András Szigetfalvi, Team Runner: Dániel Novák; Capt. János Hudomiet, Vice Capt. Gábor Bali and Capt. László Pámer, Vice Capt. Imre Gyöngyösi, Team Runner: László Buda) drew the undesirable Outdoor International section in the northern part of the lake.
Finally our bad feeling was unfortunately confirmed, because all teams ended the competition without a bite in this sector. As a curiosity it is notable, that many well known carp angling celebrities like Ian Chillcott, Lee Jackson, Martin Locke, Karel Nickl, Jaroslav Tesinsky, Tim Paisley and Steve Briggs endured the entire 5 days without a catch.

But now let us tell you the good news! Dominating the 159 other teams, Peter Micula, Norbert Pongracz and Zoltan Nemeti under the name of PVTV Romania have won this year's World Carp Classic overall competition using SBS Tactical Bait Products. When the guys received the trophy on the stage, they said thank you to all of their sponsors and supporters and among others, Zoltán Kovács, who is the owner and CEO of SBS Tactical Bait Products. During the history of the WCC this was not the first SBS success. In 2006 Team SBS won the Team Event and last year at Lac de Madine the trio of Zoltán Kovács, András Szigetfalvi and Dániel Novák won the award of the biggest fish in section with a massive 24.80 kg mirror and finished in 7th place overall. These result already foreshadowed, that SBS was ready to cope and win in any international competition and finally the company succeeded with the greatest success ever in the 2012 World Carp Classic.

Moreover to this amazing result we also had further SBS success during the contest! In the Team colours of SBS, Steve Howard, Danny Ormiston and Sylvia Howard put in an amazing performance to win their section. They also finished in 12th place overall on the leaderboard. This was a magnificent success for them and also for the company, because they are regular participants of the tournament and this was the first time they have used SBS products.

Our young and talented Swiss-Serbian team in the Pescalis section, Milos Antic and Domenico Ungaro, weighed in 145 kg of carp at the end of the event. With this result they gained 4th place in the Pescalis section while on the overall leaderboard they finished in 9th place.

We also took part in the Team event: Team SBS2 (George Tite & Oana Victor & Georghe Neagu, Milos Antic & Domenico Ungaro, János Hudomiet & Gábor Bali) claimed the illustrious 6th place and Team SBS1  (Zoltán Kovács & András Szigetfalvi & Dániel Novák, László Pámer & Imre Gyöngyösi & László Buda, Steve Howard & Dan Ormiston & Sylvia Howard) finished in a remarkable 7th place out of the 18 Teams.

The winners of the SBS Section are Antonio Serani - Guido Cappella. The prize (SBS products to the value of 1000 GBP) was handed over by Zoltán Kovács.

We can summarize, that during the 14 years history of the World Carp Classic the one held this year was the most successful for SBS. Thanks to our talented and experienced team members and the high quality of the SBS products we could reach great results, section winning and World Carp Classic overall 1st place.

We would like to say thank you to all of our team members, that with their experience and knowledge we could reach these amazing results.

Finally in the name of the competitors of Team SBS we thank all of our fans for their support, for all of us, it really gave us an extra boost during the hard moments.

We hope that, in the future, we can keep up this great run and that next year the SBS Team members can return home again with amazing results from the greatest carp fishing competition in the world.
