Question:

Hi there! I'm new to carp fishing and I’m currently trying to understand the various rigs. I've read about using a lead safety clip but I'm not sure how it works and how to make such a rig etc.”

Answer:

The safety lead clip is one of the universal accessories of the SBS Tackle Pro products. We usually use this rig in conjunction with a baitboat or manually via a manned boat, but we also fish it at 'cast-only' venues. The point of its mechanism is, if the lead becomes snagged during the fight, the safety clip will release the lead and the fish will be freed from the snag. This means we still have a good chance of landing the fish safely. It is really easy-to-use and anyone can create the end tackle in just a few minutes.

Maybe this is a topic where some illustration and a how-to-do video will provide much more clearer information than any written words, so I recommend to come with me and check the images and the video on how to tie this rig.
