I am a lucky man as I am a regular participant in the World Carp Classic competition, where the most experienced carp anglers compete with each other. I am always very excited before the competition as I have to bridge the gap between being owner of SBS Tactical Baits who gives support and a helping hand to the official SBS Teams and as one of the contestants. A week at the WCC from year to year is always a unique experience for me. I cannot tell you in words how good the feeling is when any of our teams chalk up an outstanding result. These happy moments confirm that we are on the right path, that our developments and innovative strategies result in great SBS products and help to have smiling faces along the lakeside. 2012 was a special year for us, because the Micula-Pongracz-Nemeti team, supported by SBS, won WCC 2012 at Bolsena.

Before the guys show the tricks and tips that they used, let me tell you a few important events in the recent history of SBS, things we can be really proud of.

During the past few years SBS has had an unbroken and dynamic development process. The first important step was that we changed the outdated packaging, now all of the high quality SBS products have newly designed high quality reusable packaging. At the same time we set up our Total Quality Management system, therefore top quality fresh SBS products are guaranteed for all of you out there. With these developments results came quickly, with the co-operation of our international consultants, official team members and last but not least with our customers we broke a lot of records worldwide and won trophies at important carp fishing competitions.

Outstanding quality, high standard packaging

The successes we have achieved so far are amazing, but it is the results from the World Carp Classic 2012 that I am most proud of. In the 160 team international competition our Swiss Team (Milos Antic and Domenico Ungaro) took 9th place and the English Team (Steve Howard and Danny Ormiston) won the PVTV Section and took 12th place overall.

I would especially like to thank them for this amazing performance!

The highest achievement in the history of SBS is the incredible result that the Peter Micula, Norbert Pongracz and Zoltan Nemeti (Team Runner) trio achieved in the colours of PVTV and SBS. They were the ones who held the crystal trophy at the end of the World Carp Classic 2012.

Lake Bolsenais a volcanic lake in central Italy, with a 113,5 km² surface area and an 81 meter average depth (deepest point is 151 meter). With these special conditions it is not an easy task to catch carp even for the most experienced of carp anglers.

A volcanic lake is an extraordinary fishing place for all carp anglers

The team achieved this amazing result with the help of the newly developed sweet-creamy, light coloured boilie with a high carbohydrate content, which was still in the development phase at the time. The bait has been named C1 (Competition 1) and is part of the Premium range available for everyone from this year. It is important to note that we recommend this bait primarily for large natural and deep waters and mine or quarry lakes.

The team members talk about their experiences and show their tricks and tips in the following video.

At the opening ceremony of WCC 2012 all the teams were excited before the peg draw

Some of the guys had detailed statistics about the pegs

We had to fight for each fish, …

but finally we deserved it!

To be continued…
